Two months after the announcement of the release of the internship program “Open Doors” of the company’s Northern Development Corridor (CDN), 75 young people were recruited with high school and technical professional studies.
Thanks to the internship program, these young people have the opportunity to enter to the labor market through a solid and constantly growing company.
At the end of the release about the internship program in the media, last December, the company received over 7,000 applications from Nampula, Nacala and Cuamba, where the company operates and where there 75 aspiring professionals were selected, which where they will have the opportunity to integrate the professional intership.
The Open Doors internship of this year will be phased and divided into groups, this will take place between February and with cars maintenance modules and permanent way of carriages and assisted operation.
According to Sérgio Paunde, Director of Human Resources and Communication, CDN decided to give an opportunity to young people in the northern region with high school or technical education, to learn to the train profession and enter to the labor market, allowing to increase their knowledge on real work environment. We hope that these young people contribute with their knowledge and willingness to learn, to the company’s growth and the northern part of the country’s economy.
This program complements the recent recruitment of more than 20 newly graduated engineers, who are the first group of railway engineers of the company.
