To contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the population of the northern region, is one of the objectives of the CDN in the branch of its action. To this end, through agreements reached with the Government, the company decided to reduce the freight rate on the Nacala-Lichinga section.
With this tariff reduction, the current price is set at 2,150 meticais per ton, against the previous tariff of 2,900 meticais.
However, this competitive price is expected to increase the demand for rail freight (by entrepreneurs) and, as a consequence, increase the flow of trade throughout the northern region.
Remember that last year we transported about 405 thousand tons of diverse cargo.
