Unilog Ferrovia was the system the Nacala Corridor operation used to monitor trains, rolling stock and performance indicators. However, on the 23rd of August, this system was replaced by the GPV Ferrovias. The replacement of the operating system had as main motivators the mitigation of risks caused by technological obsolescence, simplification of functionalities, reduction of costs, internationalization and performance improvement, correction of the interface with the GPV Ports.
The main benefits planned for this project were: To promote robustness to the environment with a technologically updated platform; improve performance and usability by reducing typing time; improving the quality and reliability of indicators; standardize the graphical interface; reduce time and cost for deployment in other nationalities; internationalize and regionalize the system; freedom to use the system in different languages and spindles; to justify the events of trains, wagons and locomotives; provide interfaces with other systems related to the railway business such as the GPV Ports and Train Licensing System.
